Tenerife Comedy Club September 2017

Tenerife Comedy Club is back on Saturday 23rd September with headliner Andy Askins, MC David Longley and Scott Bennett.
Andy Askins is a diminutive figure who exudes an air of vulnerability as he steps up to the microphone armed with a guitar and a cheeky grin. It’s an overwhelmingly misleading demeanour which serves to heighten the impact of the killer lines that he delivers.
Since becoming a full time comedian back in 2005, Andy has built a reputation as a distinctive and original talent, and is now a highly sought-after headliner at all the major UK comedy clubs, as well as being a favourite amongst his peers. He has previously had the honour of working with Michael McIntyre, Lee Evans, Jason Manford, Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr, Micky Flanagan, Harry Hill, Rhod Gilbert, Bill Bailey and Jack Dee, to name a few stand-up luminaries. Andy performed his solo show “The Man With No Name” at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival for the first time in 2016 to rave reviews.
On TV screens, Andy was recently invited to appear on The John Bishop Show, performing a storming set at the Hackney Empire, alongside a stellar line-up from the worlds of comedy and music. The show transmitted in a primetime Saturday night slot on BBC One. Having impressed audiences and executives alike, Andy was then invited back to perform on this year’s John Bishop Christmas Show  (the only Artiste to be invited back from the series).  The festive edition of the show also aired on BBC One.  Andy has also recorded a set for the latest series of Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store, and has performed on two series of The World Stands Up, also for Comedy Central.

In 2013 and 2015 he was selected to perform in the prestigious Big Value showcase show for Just the Tonic at the Edinburgh fringe, the show has previously been a springboard to success for many household names including Jason Manford and Sarah Millican.
A versatile and confident performer Scott regularly appears at many of established clubs including; Glee, Jongleurs, Highlight, Just the Tonic, Ten Feet Tall, Funhouse Comedy, Buzz Comedy, Frog and Bucket, Baby Blue, Hilarity Bites and many other independents. He is a resident MC with Funhouse Comedy and is also making a name for himself on the corporate and after dinner speaking circuit.
Recently Scott was also thrilled to be selected to do a support slot for Michael Mcyntire as part of his work in progress shows at the Duchess Theatre in London alongside Keri Godliman, Russell Kane and Ed Gamble.
In 2017 Scott supported his comedy hero, Rob Brydon on two of his UK tour dates for his latest show "I am Standing Up"

More about....David Longley!
David Longley is a difficult comedian to define; on the one hand, abrasive, crude and insulting and on the other, articulate, intelligent and disarmingly funny.
Longley's towering stage presence and intensity, combined with his cutting wit have made him one of the most popular and controversial circuit comics in the UK, whether it's doling out thought-provoking insights or reveling in toilet humour, Longley is a gifted wordsmith with great audience interaction skills.
David has a humble silliness which ingratiates him to audiences, he delivers deadpan accounts of his everyday life which are shockingly honest, well considered and divinely funny, maintaining a rapport with the audience that is at once edgy and accessible, engaging the whole room.
